He didn’t say he was a Jehovah’s Witness, I’m just guessing because that’s what they do: witness (read: bother people). I didn’t want to fry the poor guy’s brain by saying I’m a Satanist and Hail Satan to him. I did decline his free book he was trying to offer me. He said at least 2 bible verses. I didn’t really want to correct him by saying that the christian bible is filled with inaccuracies and contradictions. But here’s the thing: when you live in the United States like I do, everyone assumes you’re a christian. There’s just one thing you can do when some idiot calls you on the phone to preach: Smile, nod, and act polite, lest you get involved in a shouting match to some total stranger about religion (though you would obviously end up the victor.) “Wouldn’t it be nice to not be sad any more?” he asked. I could have replied “Sure, but has it occured to you that maybe the reason for all the sadness is God himself?” I mean, he created people, therefore he created misery, as well as every other human emotion. I don’t know, maybe I’m just telling this story because there happens to be nice people who go about worshipping Satan. Anyway, until next time, Hail Satan!
